When Lucy and Steven first contacted me regarding their engagement session, they were looking forward to doing something iconic to Southern California. Immediately, my mind went to the beach... I think it always goes there. They wanted to shoot for LACMA (no pun intended) but my first thought was on how busy LACMA all. the. time! I couldn't fathom trying to compete with the crowd, not to mention all the other photographers photographing their clients. But in the end, it turned out to be a wonderful shoot! Yes, they wanted (and we got) some shots of them around the lights. Actually, we even got Steven running and jumping in between the lights while Lucy ran towards the camera, all the while holding hands... side note: that's one thing I love about shooting couples who mesh well; they really know how to take their engagement shoot into their own hands without even realizing it. Back to my point, I think the reason why our session at LACMA was so successful (besides how cute and fun Steven and Lucy are) is because we got creative. Lucy and Steven were open to shooting all around the museum and not just under the lights. We had a blast and this was definitely one engagement shoot that will go down in history. Congratulations Lucy and Steven!! I wish you the very best in your upcoming matrimony.
